Emil is an award-wining attorney and the founder of OVB Law & Consulting, S.C. He is known for his knack for creating customized legal and business solutions for his clients.
Emil founded OVB Law & Consulting out of a need to transform how small businesses view and use legal services. Despite being the bedrock of our economy, closely-held businesses tend to view attorneys as pariahs. Often, this distrust is built on prior bad experiences, hawkish billing practices that aren’t aligned with client goals, unreachable attorneys, unattainable promises, lawyers who fail to understand their clients and the practical business effects of legal decisions, etc.
Armed with this reality, Emil knew there had to be a better way. He founded the Firm on a simple principle that “closely-held businesses and entrepreneurs deserve better.”
Small businesses and their owners deserve to be represented by attorneys who get them! They deserve sound and practical advice. Entrepreneurs deserve lawyers who are available and passionate about protecting and growing what they have worked hard to build.
From high growth tech companies to established multi-million-dollar businesses, Emil serves as trusted counsel for a bevy of clients across several industries.
As a litigator, Emil is known to be a fierce and calculated advocate and has litigated cases in Wisconsin state courts, federal courts across the country and the Wisconsin Court of Appeal.
In 2017 and 2018, Emil was named to the Wisconsin Law Journal's ``Up and Coming Lawyers`` list, a prestigious honor bestowed on attorneys who have demonstrated leadership, contributed to their community and successfully achieved legal outcomes early in their career.
Emil was also named to the Wisconsin Super Lawyers® ``Rising Star`` list as one of the top attorneys in Wisconsin in 2017 & 2018. In addition to his law practice, Emil serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Marquette University Law School.
As avid Arsenal F.C. super fans and world travelers, Emil and his enchanting wife, Natalee, dedicate most of their free time to following their favorite soccer team and exploring hidden culinary gems around the country/world in true “Anthony Bourdanian” Style.
